Starting Over

Ok, I am going to start over with this blog, I obviously have not posted anything in a long time, but I feel like it is something I might need right now.

I am going to do my best to start updating this blog a bit more often. I do want to use this platform to help others who are going through similar things that I am, and have been going through. But I also don’t want this to be a depressing blog, so I am going to try to post about fun stuff in between.

Bear with me, it might take a while before this actually starts to look like a blog, but I am going to do my best. If there is anything you want me to address or if you just want to ask me things, feel free to do so. It can be about anything on this earth, and on others too if that’s what you feel like.

Hope you enjoy this blog!

24 Struggles All Third Culture Kids Understand

This is so true!

Third Culture Kid (def.) – “A term used to refer to children who were raised in a culture outside of their parents’ culture for a significant part of their developmental years.” (Wikipedia) It usually refers to people who grew up in multiple countries.

1. The question, “Where are you from?” is the most annoying, nerve-wrecking, anxiety-inducing question someone can ask you.

2. Filling out official documents that ask for things like your “permanent address” or “hometown” gives you hives.

3. The idea of losing an official document is your personal version of hell on earth because you might need to go through several countries’ bureaucratic ordeals.

4. “Home” doesn’t mean what other people think it means.

5. You either live in a constant state of culture shock or are simply immune to almost all of it.

6. You know the greetings in too many languages to…

Food for a college student.

This isn’t really what this blog is about, but I’ve been stuck on Pinterest all day looking for recipes and well everything that has to do with food. So I just had to post something about food on here. Being in college means that I constantly have to cook for myself only, which can be extremely boring, especially when you don’t have any inspiration left when it comes to what to make. It’s super easy to get stuck in the virtual world when it comes to food, and I could look at recipes all day. I think that the root of my problem is that I am really bad at making sure basic ingredients exist in my kitchen, partly because I don’t really know what those ingredients are. So as I mentioned earlier I’ve spent a lot of time on Pinterest, just looking around, and have finally found a list over groceries that should always be in your kitchen to ensure that you eat healthy. Eating healthy is not the easiest when you’re in college, you want food to be ready in an instant, so often fast food is the natural option. I am however trying to move a way from the trap that is fast food. So I thought I’d share the lists over groceries that make sure I keep eating healthy.

DIY Dream catcher.

For some reason I’ve become obsessed with dream catchers lately and I really want to try and do my own, so I’ve found a picture on Pinterest for one that I want to make. So I thought I’d share it with you, there are of course so many more ways of doing it than this one, but it’s my favorite.

Getting back in the blogging saddle.

I’m sorry I haven’t been posting in like forever. I’m still getting used to this whole blogging thing, plus, my summer has been so extremely busy I just haven’t had the time to post anything. I have been away a lot as well as working. Now that the next semester of school has started I’ll hopefully have more time to post things. Now that fall is just around the corner there will be a lot of fall fashion on this blog, everything from nails, to hair and DIY projects that I want to take on. I hope someone will still be interested in reading this blog, it would mean so incredibly much to me.

Lots of love
